dragons are magical and powerful creatures, loyal and protective.
i found them reflecting back a sense of comfort. a sense of familiarity and acceptance. a place my pain and rage was able to reside and find structure.
i wanted to create a painting that welcomed the energy of the new year and to signify this idea of our physical bodies being the dragon. the magical powerful vessel that seeks to soar you to new heights and protect you no matter the cost.
our souls being the very same fiery electric energy that is reflected back and guides us through the stars shining in the sky.
